My Forever Story
Hello – My name is Rachael & my motto for life is simple: Do More Of What Makes You Happy, Every Single Day. I am a Management Accountant by profession, though left the “corporate world” of working full-time in Finance in 2013, after a successful 15+ year career in Retail Finance. Whilst I had a great career, with a great package & all that went with it, my work:life balance was less than ideal & at times quite simply grim! The very long working hours coupled with a high impact sport - I am a keen wakeboarder - resulted in back issues & eventually time off work. Whilst taking some time out of the Rat Race, I did a lot of thinking; my life wasn’t quite where I wanted it to be, something had to change, & I knew my days of sitting endlessly at a computer had to stop. My Forever business is one aspect of my portfolio career, whereby I do a variety of things to generate a variety of income streams to give me the freedom & flexibility to do things for love. I also work part-time for an accountancy firm on a consultancy basis, and pre-Covid also ran Business Networking meetings and taught a dance fitness class, as well as voluntary work as Club Secretary for my Waterski & Wakeboard Club. I am a busy lady, though I truly love the variety, the healthier work/life balance and quality of life that my portfolio career brings.
